Le Fort de Médine
Le Fort de Médine is part of the Tentative list of Mali in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Fort of Médine was a military post built by the French in 1855 in their conquest of French Sudan. It lies at a strategic position on the Senegal River. It later became the seat of the colonial administration.
